REX produces insulating roof and wall panels for industrial and commercial construction projects. In recent years, they have experienced strong growth and expansion. This created a need for a brand identity that could scale with them, fitting REX's ambitions and personality.

REX has been featuring a bear in their communication for years. After all, what animal better embodies the qualities — strength and insulation — of their products? Making it their official brand mark was an easy call. The product is even literally integrated into the icon we designed. We incorporated the profiling of the panels into the bear's paws, making the connection between brand and product impossible to miss.
The custom typeface also carries the DNA of the panels. During our initial search for a suitable typeface, we came across Vanity by Order Type Foundry. Its rugged look appealed to us at first, but what won us over was that Vanity is based on letters stamped from metal for license plates. Together with Order, we developed a custom version of Vanity, adapted to the shape of REX's panels. Subtle, but once you see it, you see it everywhere.
Thanks to the unique typeface and a simple (yet powerful!) color palette, we designed a scalable yet recognizable brand identity using just a few fundamental elements. Clear guidelines for logo, color, typography, and imagery ensure that developing new materials is a matter of application, not constant reinvention.
Alongside defining the brand system, we designed a range of specific applications: sales documents, technical datasheets, social media templates, slide decks and a complete Webflow website. We delivered all of these as “tools,” so REX can use them independently and communicate in a consistent, on-brand way.
The same visual language runs through the custom icon set. No off-the-shelf symbols, just a coherent library that's unmistakably REX.
Many companies grow faster than their brand identity. Suddenly, what's communicated externally no longer aligns with who you are or where you want to go. That's not a crisis — it's a good moment to refocus.
